The perfect pairing of effort and reward: two treks in Volcanoes National Park followed by two slow days on Lake Kivu — swimming, boat trips between coffee-growing islands and sundowners on the beach at Rubavu. Distances are short, roads are excellent, and nothing about this itinerary feels rushed.
